Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Bake the Biscuits

Start with the oven at 425°F (220°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour with the other dry ingredients.
Incorporate the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add buttermilk, mixing until the dough barely comes together, then proceed.
Transfer the mixture to a floured surface, make a few folds, then roll out to an inch thick.
Cut out with a biscuit cutter, and arrange on a sheet.
Let them bake until golden brown, for 12–15 minutes.

2. Prepare the Sausage

Form sausage patties a little larger than the biscuits.
In medium heat, cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, and until brown.
Let the drippings run off on paper towels.

3. Put the Biscuits Together

Take the biscuits and cut them evenly in two.
