Yeast and vinegar in the washing machine: the trick to end this problem once and for all!

Most components come   into contact with the dirt released from clothes during washing. Combined with the constantly circulating water, this can lead to  the formation of bacteria , mold, and limescale  over time  .  These harmful components accumulate mainly in the drum and filters.

But that’s not the only danger. If certain maintenance tasks aren’t performed,   the washing machine’s performance can be reduced to such an extent   that the water takes longer to heat up and less pressure flows through the pipes, which is further weakened by limescale buildup inside. Ultimately, in addition to unpleasant odors and the possibility of clothes not being washed properly, there’s also the risk of breakdowns.   Cleaning the washing machine also   helps to prevent this as much as possible.

There are specific products for this, but if you want to be eco-friendly and try to have the least possible impact on the environment, baking soda is    the   one for you!

Use vinegar and yeast to disinfect your washing machine – do it at least once a month!

Besides being a fundamental ingredient in cooking, yeast also has several other uses, including   disinfecting the washing machine.   Using it this way is    very simple   and requires no special effort.

In fact, simply start the washing machine and let it run empty, that is, without clothes. Pour a mixture of 200 ml of vinegar and 18 g of baking soda into the drum, not the detergent compartment.   The   temperature    should be around    90°C   , and the process should be   repeated at least once a month.

This way, your washing machine will shine and   be free of bad odors, bacteria, and limescale deposits.   If you’ve been neglecting your washing machine for a long time and feel it needs a more thorough cleaning, you can   replace the baking soda with baking soda  when you clean it for the first time. This further enhances the disinfecting effect.

Yeast and detergent, also perfect for whitening clothes!
